back from the dead! (pt 2)
an immense amount of change has occurred between my last diary entry and today. quite honestly, i don't know if i'll share much due to my consistent fear that someone will wish for the worst once they read something good happened to me, but i'll share what i can!
...so i actually went to sleep after this and didn't update until today, the twenty-first. oops... haha...
i got a new computer! so i've got a new spark for this blog. we'll see how long it lasts... but i've been mostly playing games and hanging out with my friends and partner. it's been a really good start to the year, and i'm excited for my birthday coming up. i have exciting plans for some pages here and there, but i dunno if i'll actually get around to it. executive dysfunction kicks my butt...
lately, i've become enthralled with the idea of making a fictional world, fit with proper cartography, linguistics, and the like, but i want to wait until the summer to truly execute it. no use for me to put energy into something i'll have to immediately halt once i have the rest of my classes start.
what to add, what to add.... i think i'll wrap this up with my report, and get back in bed.
R.E.P.O.R.T.
Reading.... Everything You Ever Wanted, by Luiza Sauma. liking it mildly so far! the plot isn't something that really grabs my attention, so i'm trying to push through it. recently finished Mr. Cables by Ronald Malfi, Saving Noah by Lucinda Berry, and This Thing Between Us by Gus Moreno. Mr. Cables was surprisingly short, and left so much to be desired. it was quite nice for an afternoon read, though. Saving Noah was a little thought-provoking, and while i don't really recommend it, Lucinda Berry is a mastermind when it comes to handling topics like child sexual abuse and the aftermath of such a discovery. This Thing Between Us was my absolute favorite, and i feel a little heartbroken that i finished it, but you can't blame yourself when an amazing book grabs you and doesn't let go. the book did have me a tiny bit paranoid from the amount of parallels between myself and the protagonist, haha, but i loved it nonetheless.
Eating.... pizza and cinnamon rolls. i'm hunting for the perfect cinnamon roll recipe, and recently tried onion rings again for the first time in over a decade. it didn't go well.
Playing.... shitty youtube videos to fall asleep to
Obsessing.... over how much furniture costs, and how to bring it up four flights of stairs...
Recommending.... others to drink lots of water! (i have literally no other advice because i just want to get back in bed)
Treating.... myself to fast food today, and a kitchenaid stand mixer as a birthday present!
